Moroccan ta'arija / Drum

This hand held vase-shaped percussion drum (instrument) originates from Morocco and is typically called ta’arija. It is hand thrown and on a traditional wheel, fired in a traditional kiln than a goat skin is placed on it on one side. The combination of clay and goat skin works well and creates a very rich sound! This quality is better that than the decorated one!
This instrument is played often during various special events such as weddings, spiritual ceremonies, and or just while socializing!
Since this instrument is hand thrown, its length is around 15” – 16 1/2” long.
No matter what your level is, you will enjoy your time playing with this drum. With this drum, the whole family can have fun, some would drum and others would clap and dance. What else do you want?
